Breast cancer can begin in different areas of the breast, the dust, the lobules, or in some cases, the tissue in between. Breast cancer is cancer that develops from breast tissue, signs of breast cancer may include a lump in the breast, a change in breast shape, dimpling of the skin, fluid coming from the nipple, or a red scaly patch of skin. In those with distant spread of the disease, there may be bone pain, swollen lymph nodes, shortness of breath, or yellow skin.
                                                               
                                                          





Rick factors for developing breast cancer include being female, obesity lack of physical exercise, drinking  alcohol, hormone replacement therapy during menopause, lonizing radiation. Early age at first menstruation, having children late or not at all, older age, and family history. About 5-10% of cases are due to genes inherited from a person's parents. In addition there are more than 18 other sub-types of breast cancer. In developing countries survival rates are poorer. Worldwide, breast cancer is the leading type of cancer in women, accounting for 25% of all cases. In 2012 it resulted in 1.68 million case and 522,000 deaths. A recent survey has found that 80% of men at higher rick of breast cancer aren't aware that they can be diagnosed with the disease. While men make up 1% of the total breast cancer diagnoses, this is the same percentage as women under 30 who are diagnoses. Let make sure men are aware of the ricks, particularly those with a family history of the disease.
                            
                                                     
                                         
                                                                PREVENTION         

Women may reduce their risk of breast cancer by maintaining a healthy weight, drinking less alcohol, being physically active and breast feeding their children.                
                                                 



         
                                              BREAST SELF - EXAM  (B S E)
BSE should commence once you have had your first period. If you regularly examine your breasts you will become more aware of how your breasts feel, you are more likely to notice changes (messes, lumps or nipple discharge) which could be early sings of cancer. It is best to do your BSE about a week after your period, when your breasts are not swollen or tender. If you see or feel a change in your breasts, see your doctor immediately.
